Who you are
Our Tax Accountant will work closely with firm leaders, staff, and clients. As we continue to grow our business, a critical part of this is the continued development of an accurate and efficient back office.
We are looking for someone in a similar role for this home-based/remote opportunity.
The pay range for this role is $62K-$97K per year, depending on experience.
Puerto Rico Tax Accountant Job Description
Our ideal candidate would be:

Passionate and eager to learn about US Federal and multi-state tax compliance for entities and individuals

A CPA (licensed in Puerto Rico) with tax compliance and planning expertise

Comfortable in one-on-one interactions with CEOs/owners and can manage difficult client situations

Excellent at time management and have phenomenal organizational skills

Requirements:

CPA licensed in Puerto Rico (non-negotiable)

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
-
2 – 5 years of Quickbooks Online experience
-
Deep knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Bill.com, Xero, NetSuite, etc), recognizes opportunities to advance client processes and procedures

Advanced Excel – DSUM, DCOUNT, Pivot Table, Pivot Chart, Formulas, Functions, and Macros

Prepare and review personal and entity tax returns

Research and analyze tax laws

Assist clients with accounting best practices

Communicate effectively with owners/management on a regular basis to establish performance expectations

Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; file financial reports; advise management on needed actions

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies
