Fusion CPA has implemented the SafeSend suite, including the Client Portal to enhance the ease and efficiency of our tax processes. By using these tools, our clients will benefit from a secure and convenient way to share, store, and review documents.

SafeSend Client Portal:

The SafeSend Client Portal will serve as your secure, go-to hub for accessing documents, forms, and key communications.
  • Share sensitive files and completed forms at any time.
  • Enjoy a centralized location for downloading or uploading documents at your convenience.
  • Rest assured that all shared materials are encrypted and protected for your peace of mind.

SafeSend Exchange:

SafeSend Exchange will be our primary tool for transferring files securely.
  • We use SafeSend Exchange for sending and receiving sensitive or large files securely.
  • This platform uses encryption to protect your data, while remaining easy to use.

SafeSend Gather:

We will use SafeSend Gather to collect information from you in a simple, guided process.
  • You’ll receive a secure link prompting you to provide specific details or documents as requested.
  • Clear instructions and progress indicators help you complete tasks quickly.
  • Reduce back-and-forth communication with a streamlined, centralized information-gathering process.

SafeSend Returns:

SafeSend Returns will be used during tax season to simplify the review and approval process for your tax documents.
  • You’ll receive a secure link to review your completed tax return online
  • Electronically sign and return your documents in just a few clicks.
  • You can also make any required payments directly to the taxing authority through the platform.

Clients will receive an email with a link to the Client Portal. All emails come from noreply@safesendreturns.com.

You always require a unique access code to log in. A client-specific PIN is required when logging in from a new browser or device

Yes, you can reset your PIN directly from the Client Portal or by clicking “Forgot PIN” on the login page.

Yes, you can reset your primary email ID from the Security Section inside the Client Portal.

No, the Client Portal simply allows a different authentication method to access the workflows you are already used to seeing.

You can use a single login and do not need to authenticate separately across different SafeSend Products.

The Client Portal is not currently available on tablets or mobile devices.

  • SafeSend Returns uses knowledge-based questions pulled from government and credit records. These questions may ask, for example, where you lived in a certain year or when you purchased your car or home. If a question does not apply to you, simply select the answer that best reflects your situation.
  • If you do not remember the answers or provide incorrect responses, you will be unable to electronically sign your e-file authorization form(s). In that case, please contact our Operations Director, Danielle Palmer, at dp@fusiontaxes.com. She will assist you with a resolution strategy.

Pending or partially completed tasks related to that email ID are removed. Any files generated from completed tasks will stay in the account.

Yes. Email notifications will be sent from Fusion CPA at noreply@safesendreturns.com. To prevent the email from getting filtered to spam/junk, we recommend adding this email addresses to your safe list.

Yes. SafeSend Returns offers a secure system to view and sign your e-file authorization form(s).

Look for https:// at the beginning of the site URL and a locked padlock symbol in your browser’s URL bar to confirm you are on the secure site.

Yes. You can download and print your return from a computer.

If you’re using a smartphone or tablet, you can review and e-sign your return package but may not be able to print it. Please use a laptop or desktop computer for the best printing experience.

SafeSend Returns allows you to electronically sign your e-file authorization form(s), but it won’t submit your return to the IRS.

Once signed, your CPA at Fusion CPA will be automatically notified, and will then complete the e-filing process for you, including submission to the IRS.

For spouses filing jointly, there are a few ways to sign via SafeSend Returns:

  1. If both spouses have an email address on file, each will receive an email with a link to view the return and sign the e-file authorization form(s). First, one spouse will receive the link with identity verification questions specific to him or her. He or she will sign the e-file authorization form(s) and confirm the other spouse’s email address, which will send an email link to the second spouse. The second spouse will answer identity verification questions specific to him or her, and then sign the form(s). Once the second spouse electronically signs the e-file authorization form(s), Fusion CPA will be automatically notified.
  2. If only one spouse has an email address on file, he or she will receive an email with a link to view the return and sign the e-file authorization form(s). He or she will sign the e-file authorization form(s) and provide the other spouse’s email address, which will send an email link to the second spouse. The second spouse will answer identity verification questions specific to him or her, and then sign the form(s). Once the second spouse electronically signs the e-file authorization form(s), Fusion CPA will be automatically notified.
  3. If only one spouse has an email address on file, he or she will receive an email with a link to view the return and sign the e-file authorization form(s). He or she will sign the e-file authorization form(s) and provide the other spouse’s email address, which will send an email link to the second spouse. The second spouse will answer identity verification questions specific to him or her, and then sign the form(s). Once the second spouse electronically signs the e-file authorization form(s), Fusion CPA will be automatically notified.
  4. If a couple shares an email address, the initial recipient will receive an email with a Subject line that denotes who the link is being sent to for the respective individual to view the return and sign the e-file authorization form(s). He or she will sign the e-file authorization form(s) and provide the other spouse’s email address (same as used for initial delivery), which will send an email link to the second spouse that includes the respective signer’s name in the Subject line. Once the second spouse electronically signs the e-file authorization form(s), Fusion CPA will be automatically notified.

We will deliver your dependent’s return via SafeSend Returns; however, due to the IRS’s knowledge-based authentication requirements, a minor dependent may not qualify.

In such instances, once you have reviewed the return and are ready to sign, please contact our Operations Director, Danielle Palmer, at dp@fusiontaxes.com. She will assist you with the next steps and provide an alternative signing solution.

 Yes! Once you sign your e-file authorization form(s), you will receive an email stating it was successful. The email will also include a link to download a copy of your tax return for your records.

If estimated payments are included in your review copy, you will automatically receive an email reminder before your payment is due.
